In folklore, a Bogle is a Scottish sprite that loves to play tricks on humans, especially children. With its sad face, the big sad dog bogle stands 7.5cm tall. Thrown on the potter’s wheel and hand-painted, the wee sad dog bogle is a striking ornament for your home or a gift for any occasion.
Artist and potter, John Wood, makes his bogles in his studio at Dalmeny, near Edinburgh.
The pottery is thrown in white earthenware, individually hand decorated with black underglaze, and dipped in a transparent glaze before being fired to 1120 degrees in the kiln.
