Bennets Bar is a splendid old drinking house next door to Edinburgh's King's Theatre. It opened in 1839 and boasts an unchanged Victorian interior.

Ross is an established artist living in Edinburgh. He has been painting since he moved here from Dumfries in 1984, and exhibits regularly in joint exhibitions, often in aid of charities. He is primarily a watercolourist, though likes to introduce other water-based media into his work.
