The painting is of the famous 15th century dwelling in Edinburgh’s High Street, where the great protestant reformer, John Knox, is reputed to have stayed.
Ross is an established artist living in Edinburgh. He has been painting since he moved here from Dumfries in 1984, and exhibits regularly in joint exhibitions, often in aid of charities. He is primarily a watercolourist, though likes to introduce other water-based media into his work.
